In celebration of Disability Pride month, join us for an immersive artist talk with acclaimed sound artist and disability advocate Andy Slater exploring sound, access, and the politics of listening. The event begins with thirty minutes of informal socializing, followed by a sixty-minute presentation in which Andy will share and discuss three to four pieces of his work. The talk will explore themes of active listening among blind audiences and how artist Christine Sun Kim inspired some of the ideas that appear in his work. A thirty-minute open Q&A concludes the event.
ASL interpretation and CART will be provided. For additional access requests, please email [email protected].
